Impellers don't crimp the hay like rolls do so if your hay is mostly alfalfa the stems don't get crimped and don't dry as fast. The first discbine Dad bought was a 926 w/ impellers and it added a half day/day of drying for alfalfa. Traded it for a roll machine and drying time returned to normal; funny how he traded the 1219 haybine for the discbine the year I left for college
