There's two ports for the hydraulics R1 is for open center and R2 is for closed center. That's on a scout I don't know if the scout 2's were the same. The scout say's it only requires 1 GPM flow so set the flow down and it's ready to go. I just pulled mine out after 6 or 7 years and had to switch the hose around but it worked perfect after that
