It keeps the openers alot cleaner in sticky soils, and it keeps the seed at the bottom of the slot. Sometimes in sticky soils I would have problems with the SDX wheels pulling seeds up and throwing them out of the slot.
Plus it does a good job of placing liquid fertilizer.
