| An electrical storm damaged my vista laptop that I use to run my accounting and farm management software. I backup daily to an external usb disk drive using vista's backup utility. I have the accounting and management software on a "retired" windows 2000 computer. I want to restore my data files from the external drive to the windows 2000 computer but I cannot get the windows 2000 computer to restore the backup files created with vista. I can see the external drive and the backup files from the windows 2000 computer. The restore utility in windows 2000 is looking for .bkf files to restore, but there doesn't seem to be any files with that extension on the external drive. Any help is appreciated. | |
