Samples were taken at the end of May. The samples are just a square foot of all above ground biomass so it isn't scientific or precise but I think if we continue to sample it will give us some idea of whats going on.

This field had a lot of litter applied late summer/early fall of 2014. The soil test reflects this as well.

The last soil nitrogen test came back higher than the one taken in March. I contribute some of that to sampling randomnous, and some to N applied with the planter. But I am hoping that maybe it's also reflecting residue breakdown. I think if it would have been terminated a week later it would be a bunch of sticks.
