Brazilton KS | I think you should be safe at $15. $12 will probably work where it is good running. Fuel has not gone up enough to make $3 per acre difference. That will probably cover your entire fuel usage.
Regarding the tractor, the way I go about things is to use the short term rental rate to cover the tractor and maintenance, then add labor, fuel, and rental rate on the implement. The dealers don't rent stuff out for the fun of it, if you can get what they charge you will be okay. I think $50 per hour dry will keep you in business, but the market might be a little higher.. The last we rented 350 hp was at $47 if I remember right. That's not a brand new number. | |
