Tuscola, IL | The tiger mate tool doesn't rely on a cylinder holding the machine out of the ground at mid stroke. The cylinders fully collapse when lowered into the ground and the depth adjustment screws rotate the rockshaft to achieve more or less depth. With this method, the cylinder can't leak and change the depth throughout the field. It's fully collapsed. Probably doesn't make much sense, but that's how it works in a nutshell.
I agree it's a royal pain trying to adjust the depth on one. But, I also see the reasoning behind it. Not sure it would keep me from buying one though.
