I'll chime in here since I probably know the answer as well.
Are you trying to download Pro 600 planter data into version 6.5? Unless you're running the old black-and-white software on your Pro 600, you'll need at least version 7.0 of the desktop software to load the data. However, if you're going to upgrade your software you should get the latest, which I believe is version 8.0.
