E.Central MN | I get a kick out of the comment about there only being a finite amount of arable land. Seems like every time I open a newspaper there is another land grab by city/state/Federal agencies to take farm land and turn it into roads, schools, govt centers, housing/industrial development, parks, etc. Perhaps someday farmers will be encouraged to invest in improvements to make their farm land more productive instead of the current system which is so concerned about maintaining every worthless pothole in every field across the country. Its amazing how perceptions can change when society sees a food shortage on the horizon. | |
