NC Kansas | Drove a KW one time that did that same grind occasionally when shifting from low to high on the splitter for a 10 speed. It's been a few years, but if I remember correctly, for a while before it started doing it, the trans temp would run very high. Course we always needed the truck rolling and lived with the heat issue for a while. After the grinding started, it went to the shop. I don't know what they did, but it took away the grinding and the trans. went back to running cool. I would get it looked at by a reputible truck shop, very soon. These things never fix themselves. | |
