The 590 turbo is quite similar to the later version of the 580K. Their noteable differences are larger tires, and front bucket on the 590. At the rear, the boom and stabilizers are longer. I believe the dipper was the same length. I also believe the loader arms are the same, but I can't recall accurately. Some cylinders were larger, too. The basic tractor--frame, drivetrain, cab, etc is the same.

All 590's and later 580K's had the fully synchronized transmission. They are easy to spot by the location of the shifter, it is a short lever mounted on the right console. The earlier 580K had the partially synchronized transmission, its lever was a long stick mounted to the floor, just in front of the side console.

Not much help on Midwest salvage yards.
