Subject: RE: GS2 Autosteer impressions

Camrose, Alberta
Works great on a combine (9860 STS). We straight-cut with a 36 foot header and just use SF1. I set for 35' 8" and it NEVER missed on 2000 acres. When you have a really good signal I would set it on 35' 10" and that worked well, unitl you lost some satellites. I would never run a combine without a good autosteer. The fatigue is greatly reduced and the operator does a much better job watching everything else.

I still use an EZEE-STEER when seeding with my 8570 4WD and use my GS2 to map with. The EZEE-STEER works all right but you have to keep an eye on your misses or overlap and use the nudge feature.

Just got a 4720 sprayer with two neighbors and can't wait to use the GS2 in the sprayer.

I have a 4895 to swath or windrow with (30 foot header) and I have no autosteer on it, but wish I did. I do not think the EZEE-STEER would work well becasue the steering wheel is very sensitive. Does anyone have an autosteer on a windrower that they are happy with?
