| A few years ago I read about feeding cattle hay only and no corn. They said the "bugs" in the gut of a cow worked better without the corn because corn is digested so much easier that they get the wrong kind of bugs in the stomach and then they don't get as much good out of the hay. I have fed this way, hay only, for a number of years and have had great luck. My cows grow well and are nice and fat. I just sold some to a guy today and he couldn't believe that they'd only had grass hay. He said they look like they're ready to pop and they're not due until April.
