Well gee, thanks for keeping it simple, but I can assure you that unlike a number of others who are posting here I have an understanding of fractional reserve banking systems and money creation, having taken several undergraduate and graduate level courses on the subject.

I don't know if everyone is just trying to be fatuous or if they genuinely missed it but what I said (see above) was that the banking system as a whole can create money by their lending practices, but not an individual bank.  Not to put too fine a point on it but there is a distinction.  If you can't see that I'm not sure where to start.
