central Illinois | Moved mine to non heated garage also. Been that way for over 20 years with no problems. I have a heat tape around the brine tank and tube for the winter months.
The softener is in the basement and the brine tank is up in garage about 25' of tube. The tube might freeze in winter because it would have non salt water in it on brine take refill, so use a heat tape or insulate | |
