Central Texas | This my main motivation for buying the old cows like I buy.
Weaned these late spring-summer born calves yesterday. Weighed avg of 472. Calves are now worth more than I paid for their moms. Will sell the largest calves in 2 weeks at last sale of the year and the rest next year. Plan to keep feeding the cows and sell them next year as they get fleshed up. Hopefully several will be bred back by the time I sell them.
