SC Wisconsin | Im going to order my seed for next summers crop, but I am curious on what others have seen as a comparison of the BMR vs the regular sorghum sudangrass. I seed it after wheat in the beginning of august or late July then make it into baleage in early October. I'm in southern Wisconsin, so it just one cutting. Trying to squeeze the most out of my limited land, so tonnage is a high priority. This is just going to Holstein heifers, so quality isn't a huge factor. I know BMR for corn silage can have some substantial yield drag, but I'm not sure if the same applies to this stuff. | |
