| Do you already have central heat and air? If so, an outdoor woodboiler makes sense. A buddy of mine out in a pretty nice, I think maybe blaze king, catalytic stove, because he thought an outdoor boiler was too expensive. By the time he got the flu work and hearth work done, he probably has more in it than what a wood boiler would have been, and still has all the mess in the house. My split wood pile is right next to the stove. I bring everything to the house as logs. Mthe only handling of the wood is stacking it off the splitter and a step into the stove. I'f I'm burning a lot or pressed for tome the stacking off the splitter stage is optional. I have a skid steer splitter and I'll just pile it with the splitte and use off the pile. | |
