Subject: RE: Subsurfer Dry Manure Injector

North Dakota
We spread manure on top of our no-till fields all the time. What we have learned is if you spread on top you don't burn the soybeans next year. We pile our manure in the spring and then turn or roll those piles a few times during the summer so they break down, it's just like compost in the bags ya buy. When we spread we spread it thin across the field so you can seed through it next spring. Some people think it cost too much time and money to turn those piles but since we started doing that I'd estimate we haul 1/3 less loads a year, well worth it to me.
