NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | When I bought my wife's engagement ring that was back in the fall of 1975. I didn't start farming until the spring of 1976 so it didn't cost many any bushels :-). I was working and living in Sioux City at the time. I do know it cost me $500 and back then gas was I think 50 cents, cost me $100 @ month for house rent and I was making $8.00 an hour doing union construction work. A lot of good memories from back in those single days :-).
