NC Kansas
gravel works good, can clean it out. And it will permanently scuff the wood so it will start get a little natural texture and won't be as slippery. I suppose it shortens the life a little bit but we are pulling around a '96 diamond D trailer that is startin to get rusty around the bottom side sheets before the lumber is causing problems.

We just move around our herd of 65 pairs to grass and back, haul calves to town etc and we usually have access to a 2nd trailer... so we don't really use a trailer up before it rusts out.
