Subject: Re: Planting with WASS

Leesburg, Ohio
I have planted with WAAS for two seasons, but still use markers and have to nudge quite a bit...sometimes only once every hour, usually once every two or three passes, very occasionally 15 times in one pass. Other than the occasional "wild hair", it does a far better job than I can do manually, and people have told me (before GPS) that I plant very straight rows.

That said, we are going to RTK this year, mainly for because we are doing some stip till, also because we think we can then strip, plant, spray, sidedress, and harvest all with the same guidance equipment.

If you don't have the need to follow one operation with another in the same rows, WAAS will work fine. Just don't sell the markers.
