Linneus Missouri | Part of the reason grain prices are going has to do with the way the Fed keeps changing their statement on bond purchases. If they slow the bond purchases as they said they were going to do in late Aug. early Sept the dollar gets stronger and commodities go down. Auntie J has been recently talking about not slowing as rapidly as before and more liquidity occurs dollar stops going up as fast or stalls and commodities can gain in price.
Another part of the grain prices going up is that prices went down too far and too fast. A normal market over reaction. If the dollar could stay put for a while we could find the real value of this years crop.
