Subject: Sorghum seed.. still itches..

A 50 lbs bag of Sorghum generally runs about $98'ish.. here.. (no Concept mind you..) at a 5 lbs drop that's.. about $9.80 per planted acre for the seed.. vs about $65 for corn at 18 k drop..  Fertility program is similar.. Herbicides.. well not a lot of options there.. so a rotation would be the key.

Exports to China have gone.. need to look it up but something like.. 50 to 100 to 150 to...???  This thing is taking off.. only limitation is production it would seem thus far.. Still itches though... even in the bag looking at it.. lol.

A graze out program on the stalks post harvest would hold the doggies until the wheat got big enough.. and help reduce residue for the planter.. might not want to plant the WHOLE farm to it.. but looks good in a rotation.. we still need drying capacity to handle a wet fall.. but golly if this global warming thing keeps going... it's starting to come out dry here.. now.
