I would weld a top rail on, just my opinion but it really solidifies the posts up, if a calf decides to put some pressure on it its all tied together.,
EditL I dont know anything about pushing pipe in though, if we tried that we would hit rock about a ft done. We drill four ft holes put pipe in, put reinforced rod in and then concrete.,
