Centre county Pennsylvania, USA | We found that our EZGuide-plus always used satellite 135 for WAAS corrections when we had both 135 and 138 set to "Heed Health" but our EZGuide-500 used 138 for WAAS corrections when we had both 135 and 138 set to "Heed Health". Because satellite 138 is always higher SNR than 135 and always at higher elevation here (and probably over most of USA) , we prefer that both EZGuide-plus and EZGuide-500 use 138 for WAAS corrections. To do that we set 135 to "off" and set 138 to "Heed Health" in EZGuide-plus but set both 135 and 138 to "Heed Health" in our EZGuide-500. Setting 135 to "off" in EZGuide-plus seems to force it to use 138 for WAAS corrections.
I'm not sure if that's a bug in EZGuide-plus firmware or if it's pilot error, but that's how we fixed it so that both EZGuide-plus and EZGuide-500 use 138 for WAAS corrections. |
