They are fat and somewhat sassy, I just don't want them too fat going into the sale ring.
I watched a lot of 450-550 lb calves go through the ring at CLA today most bringing 2.80 to 3.15, I think those prices will hold for a couple more weeks.
I have to sort through this group and save back 6- 10 heifers, gotta keep growing the herd.
I am going to fill the feeder again tomorrow, 2 tons lasted 7 days last time, plus the buckets in the bunk. I am going to close down the feeder some though. | |
