Rio Arriba is what I refer to as the Chama Bowl...It's a "Little Colorado," bout thee best summer runnin there is generally.
The last shootin war we had was in fact in Rio Arriba County...started by the Feds in the 70's, btw..
( perhaps never let a hard wound heal..it seems )

these counties are fair sized Here, btw. say 10k to 14k square mile per.

The Milagro Beanfield War:
( Fed always want water, IF they can take it...because eventually the LAND comes right along with the WATER ).
