All calves go west unless they are west already, anyone selling calves from Ar east is paying the freight already. It comes in the price of the calf. So if you have potloads pay the freight to a larger market with more buyers and less commission that also feeds the calves while they are in the pens looks like a win to me.
Now on the cows they don't all go west so I'm not making the freight back on them. | |
