Subject: RE: Manure tankers

I am sorry I can't answer your questions very well about the buying decisions as I am just a part time helper and not involved in those decisions.

The pit in the pictures was emptied in a little over 2 days with a combination of 2 drag hoses pumping less than a mile and 5-6 trucks going 4-6 miles one way and 4 tractor tankers going about 1-2 miles. There were 2 fill stands set up. The drag lines like to be pumping 1000-1100 GPM. It dropped to about 800 GPM at the lowest point.
You can see the drag hose tractor in the background of the first picture.

I am sure there is some sand in the tankers but it is an extremely small percent of the total sand that was hauled to the field.

I guess it remains to be seen how the new weight laws will affect the larger tankers . I am not sure how much the laws will be enforced because they are pretty new yet.
