I just cut/pull them off. Just make sure I crush a few in the process making them bleed. The warts are caused by a virus and have been told that by making some bleed, it gets the virus in their blood so antibodies can go to work. All I know for sure is they will heal up in a month or so and loose the discount. Any time I can buy one with substantial discount, will buy it. Easy, low risk way to make a few hundred in a month or so. Seems most cattle can fight off a few warts but some can't. No really noticeable odor, just a slightly bloody job as some of the larger warts will drip some blood for a bit after being cut off. Will be a different type of ugly for a few days until dried blood wears off and things heal up.
Have a couple of auctioneers who know to look at me whenever a bad case of warts comes in the ring. They also know to start low or I won't bid. | |
