For reference the ethanol plant at Nevada pay around $8 per bale with nothing returned and they met their quota way before harvest ever began. . I know a couple of people who have worked similar arrangements with cattle farms and usually they give the stalks away for the manure. If the manure is evenly spread, there is considerable value in it.
