Subject: RE: Grazing calves on cornstalks

South Central South Dakota
I've usually had thm grazing with there mothers before they are turned out on there own. Biggest thing is make sure there full of hay before they go out or they can over eat and fonder. With calves I would probly supplement some hay for awhile if there is no grass near for them to eat. Most of my stubble has hayfields joined in with it or there running into a pasture for water so I've never worried about it till pickings get low
