western colorado
I buy them at the sale barns to sell them as freezer beef I'll buy around $1/lb and sell at $1.50 huge hit with customers finish around 850lbs they are the right size for most customers and has worked very well for me the last couple of years. The crosses are usually a bit better and can be good enough most cattlemen wouldn't even recognize them as a miniture cross. Great way to get a good small cow that will raise a big calf IMO. Half blood black angus cow with a good black bull 900-1000lb cow will bring home a 700lb calf. Doesn't get any better. Now if your talking about pure breds shoot for the moon but most likely your going to be disappointed.
