Subject: RE: Parallels between the eighties and today

As a young guy, and a conservative gunshot guy at that, I really enjoy listening (and reading) the stories about the hard times from the 70s and 80s and the hardships endured and the lessons learned.

I, like everyone else don't know what the future holds, and what and when it will happen. But I do know that all I heard not too long ago was the corn prices were here to stay and buying new equipment and going crazy on land, just the start of some tough times.

I'd like to expand and take advantage of the profit making opportunities, but unfortunately in gonna hold fort, I'm not gonna leverage myself too much and go hog wild. Like to find land to buy but gonna be mighty tough with pasture going for 1500 an acre, on ground that 10 acres supports a cow calf pair for 5-6 months outta of the year.
