Southwestern Ohio

buckeyefarmer - 10/5/2014 21:27 8-10 weeks seems like an odd time to be getting them. We do 12 weeks from grower. 12-16 weeks seems more common. 14-16 weeks would be 300 lbs. 12 weeks seems to be 230 to 250 lbs on ours. Larry have you ever weighed at weaning or shortly after? Have heard of $3.00 to $3.50 for 12 to 14 week old calves.

Not really, weighed a lot at 12 weeks and like you they would typically weigh between 200 and 240. They put on a lot of weight in that month after they are turned out of the pens.

I'm like you 8-10 weeks is an odd time. Would take some special care from somebody that knows how.

Larry
