Good point. Personally I use Corel PhotoAlbum & it has a feature that recognizes when you've hooked camera via USB & asks to download photos. You can copy them from the camera (leaving them on camera also) or delete them from camera while downloading to whatever file you want. This will work whether you have the program loaded or not.
