Mid Michigan | What amazes me is the herd mentality with phones. Some sort of incredible peer pressure to have one. I want a little suprise in my life once in a while. I interact with other people without phones most of the time. Only a couple of us on my shift at work. Me and another 50 year old that don't have their face stuck in a phone at break and lunch. I feel the same way about game cameras and hunting blinds. In this area you used to see a handfull of hunting shacks in the entire area. People would usually sit in a ground blind and hunt. Now everybody, and I mean everybody has a two story cabin with vinyl siding and double pane Anderson windows and a $4000 dollar staircase going up to it. They are literally on every corner of every woods around here. And they sit up there with their face in a smart phone all day. But they all grow the seasonal beard to give the image of a hardcore seasoned hunter. | |
