We switched all of our standard light bulbs to Cree LED's. For one thing, they are made in the USA. Instant on, and very bright. We went with what they call a Daylight, as I don't like the yellowish tint ones. No more CFL's here. They were about $13 each, but we are very pleased with them.

Is this the style you are looking for?

Ours were all A19's and they were stocked at Home Depot. I think they probably have the can light style there.

Yes cree is an American company but their lights are not made in the USA. They are made over seas like everything else.
