| I should probably elaborate. we were pretty careful with keeping him tied up and the first one was run over by the trailer one morning. My dad waited to see him wander back to the house before he pulled out, but as soon as he started driving he thinks a cat ran out towards the trailer and Marley followed him. Dad never knew it until my cousin found him. the little guy in the picture was who got run over this early summer, all the vehicles were parked for the night and dad was doing landscaping so he let him run around and that's when mom came home. it seems excessive and emotional to get 3 dogs in a year, so that's why I think about holding off.
If we do get a 3rd one again, we are definately keeping a fenced kennel to hold him in until he is older and trained more, no need breaking hearts. | |
