Amherst WI | I was exhibiting at Wi farm tech days last week.
Some old guy and his wife came into our tent with an axe to grind about GMO's. Your killing us all! Cross pollination! Ect..
He didn't want to have a conversation about it he just wanted to go off.
He wanted "our proof" of it being safe, mind you he had nothing but his sunglasses with him to support his claims.
He then asked if it's true Monsanto won't let farmers replant their own corn any more.
When we explained to him that that hasn't been a common practice since the late 1940's I think he finally figured out he was mad about something he didn't know a whole lot about and finally left.
We also had a women come in and ask about them too, but she had a conversation about it and was willing to listen. When she left her comment was "well that doesn't sound as bad as some make it out to be". | |
