SE MI
Make the climb up the sleeping bear dunes and walk the sand trail all the way to lake Michigan. Long hike, but definitely worth it when you make it to the lake. Glen Arbor has a good little restaurant, Glen Lake looks like a carribean ocean too and would be worth renting a pontoon boat for 4 hours or so. There's a lot of exposed shipwrecks up there on the lake Michigan beaches unless they're covered back up with sand again. A really cool shipwreck on Manitou island, I think the south one. Sticks way up out of the water. Nice lighthouses around there. If you're a lake swimmer, it doesn't get much better swimming than that area.
