That officer didn't have a very good impression of us when he saw we were using a pair of vise-grips to steer the truck with as the steering wheel had a slight problem at the time. Had to use two pliers when going down the highway. Only one when dragging main. The officer asked buddy to step out of the truck for a minute. Buddy replied to officer, no problem but could you set my parking brake for me officer. He reached back and grabbed rope in back corner of the bed that had a wood block on it.
Needless to say officer asked us not to come back to town till we got truck fixed. This was in the 80's. with a 65' sweet truck that was. |
