Leesburg, Ohio | This Ohio farmer just had a very expensive grass fed steak in Victoria, BC earlier this week. Pretty good steak, tender enough, tasty enough, well prepared. Just not as flavorful as grain fed, and a little courser texture. This grass fed steak was very good, but I like mine finished out on corn, and our customers seem to like it that way, too.
Just a general comment, not pointed at any specific comment in this thread: To me, its kinda like organics...I have no problem at all with it, and everyone is entitled to their preferences. But I see no need for bashing grain fed beef as a way to promote grass-fed. Again, this is not pointed at anyone in this thread, just a general observation. | |
