Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | The hail just screwed up the plant. I have a few normal plants then anything that got hit is either 3-4' tall and tasseling and putting out ears close to the ground. The leaves and stalk are small. Some plants have multiple stalks all trying to put an ear out. (That's not going to work). Lost 30% of my stand completely. It just doesn't add up to a very good yield. |
