Cool planes thanks, you never learned to fly? I would like to sometime... Helicopter, plane... Doesn't matter to me. Just want to get in the air!
Sons often don't seem to want to do what their dads do. It's instinctive.
About learning to fly: Better sooner, than later. Fuel prices seem to only go up. Call your little (or big) local airport flight school to schedule a discovery flight. They offer it at a discount from the regular rate to introduce potential students to flying. A certified flight instructor will even let you fly the plane. You will quickly know if you like it. Flying may seem so new to you, it will challenge your mind, and broaden your horizons. About the risk; statistically the same as riding a street bike.
