Rolla, ND | I don't see that any species are endangered by the project. As the guy said the shipping channels are excellent coral habitat and were colonized without human intervention.
The current dredging will cause some damage and then the new channel will be colonized and be excellent coral habitat.
Running around the ocean on a boat and then diving to "rescue" a small number of individual corals is pretty much just an expensive waste of time. Maybe they pay for the whole thing selling to the saltwater aquarium trade.
In any case, I don't see any problem or reason to stop the project. It's making reef habitat. | |
