Set the gap to a bit less than a 1/8 inch. Turn machine over by hand and make sure they don't touch anywhere. If it touches it will cause a bad vibrations. Now to set the pressure start cutting and keep turning up the pressure till you just start to bruise the leaves. Than stop. This will allow you to get max crimping with a bit of crushing but keep the leaves on. The one thing if adjusted like this is that it will take a bit more power to run. But at least in my area can cut a day off drying. Some people don't like things this tight because they cant cut as fast. But I would rather cut slow and dry fast than cut fast and dry slow to beat the rains.
