If you go to KSC plan on $50 for a ticket for daily admission in order to see the exhibits.. EXPENSIVE This also includes a bus ride out to a tower where you can see the launch pad about 1/2 a mile away, a trip through the preserve along the shuttle landing site and into the building where the control room for the early flights and moon shots took place. The control room for the moon landings is probably the best exhibit there as you sit on bleachers as they replay the audio of the moon landing and each controllers console lights up to match the audio track of the landing. It's the original control room. Other than that the Atlantis space shuttle hangs from the ceiling , you can see the transport buses they took the astronauts out to the pad in, a complete Saturn 5 rocket and Apollo Capsule hanging from the ceiling . It is a real rocket, not a model. Outside of the building at the entrance is the original gantry that Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins walked across to climb into Apollo 11. That's pretty cool I walked across it 44 years to the day they did.
