OK | What I have noticed, is that the sky is falling somewhere and someone is always predicting gloom and doom. At some point in time, they are usually right. The problem always lies with pinning them down as to an exact timing - that's when their methodology usually bites the big one. I have to admit I didn't read the articles in great detail, just skimmed them. What the articles fail to realize is that values change with time. As an example, when I was young and idealistic, I wanted to be the very best (you insert the profession here ... doctor, lawyer, mechanic) that I could be. As I grew older, I found the bankers cared very little about my qualifications, degrees, and publications, and more about the zeroes behind the numbers in my bank accounts. Hence, my values changed. I think we will see the same; end of rant. | |
